I had the privilege of attending a conference this past weekend for people working to build businesses in the wellness sector.

The audience was packed with personal trainers, naturopathic doctors, nutritionists, chiropractors and other “healers.”

It’s great to learn and be inspired, but as I looked around the room at everyone frantically taking notes an snapping pictures on their phones of each presenter’s slides on the big screen, I wondered to myself how many of them would go home and implement and any of this.

Because learning and personal development are important, but if you don’t go home and do the work, it’s pointless.

It might feel like you’ve gotten closer to your goal, but you haven’t.

Mastin Kipp talks about “spiritual entertainment” which is when people buy the books and “like” the FB posts and record every episode of Super Soul Sunday, but they never implement any of those teachings into their daily lives.

They feel like they’re growing, but they’re not.

The only way you get anywhere, the only way you achieve anything, the only way you change your life in any way is to Do. The. Work.

Because what’s separating you from the people you admire who have done the things you want to do and who have the things you want to have is not that they’re smarter or more organized or that it comes easier to them. What separates them from you is that they Did. The. Work.

And that’s amazing news!

That means that you already have everything you need to get exactly where you want to go. Wahoo!! High five!

Another favourite of mine – Eric “The Hip Hop Preacher” Thomas says that “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, that’s when you will be successful.”

So, let’s not talk about how you want to feel or what you want your life to look like, let’s not read any more blog posts or print off any more recipes or download any more workout routines. Head down to the comment section below this post right now and tell me 3 things you’re going to DO this week to get you 3 steps closer to your goal.

Do. The. Work.
