sprouts It may still be winter where I live but there are already green shoots popping up. 

Not from my garden but on my kitchen counter.

This week I grew a gorgeous crop of broccoli and red clover sprouts in my little sprouter and I’ve been happily munching on them ever since.

Sprouting is super easy, a fun thing to do with your kids, and so good for you!  Sprouts are incredibly high in protein and also important enzymes that your body uses to properly break down and digest food and absorb the nutrients locked inside.

Last June I participated in a sprouting challenge with the folks at BioSnacky and it was so much fun!
