Smoothie I’ve been getting some questions lately about good smoothie recipes.

Ask and ye shall recieve.

About 4 mornings a week I make a big batch of this smoothie, pour it into a large stainless steel water bottle, and bring it to work with me.  I sip it all morning and it keeps me full until lunch time.

This puppy packs in protein, fibre, calcium, magnesium and tonnes of antioxidants. 

What’s your breakfast done for you lately?

Chocolate Banana Split Smoothie

3/4 cup unsweetened almond or rice milk (or any other non-dairy milk of your choice)

1/2 frozen banana.  Use this helpful tip so that you always have frozen bananas on hand.

1/2 cup frozen blueberries (or any berries you like)

1-2 handfuls of spinach or kale

3 tbsp raw hemp seeds/hearts

2 tbsp raw sesame seeds

1 tbsp raw cacao power or raw cacao nibs

1-2 pitted medjool dates

3/4 cup water

I blend mine until smooth, pour it into my big stainless steel bottle and then add about 4-5 ice cubes to keep it cold until I get to work.  If you’re going to drink it right away, I suggest adding the ice in before you blend to give you a nice cold smoothie.
